Our Story

The story of Jenna’s River spans over a quarter-century.
It started with Jenna, a Canadian who fell in love with Guatemala,  decided to share a rental home in the center of Panajachel.
The property was then replaced with another house, which included several rooms and a garden.

Today, Jenna’s River is built on the outskirts of Panajachel on a steep hill, overlooking the magic lake of Atitlán.
It took over two years to build the unique and independent yurts, along with a restaurant, a bar, a pool, as well as other conveniences.

Recently, Jenna’s management and the renowned Canadian chef, Norbert Cloutier, joined forces to bring his famous Syrian dishes to Panajachel. The unique combination fuses the splendid, mild climate and mystical surroundings with smells and spices of the far and Middle East.
The menu offers a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetarian dishes.

The property is managed by Adriana, with the help of our wonderful staff members.
