The room we were staying at (Armadillo) was very comfortable, a bit on the smaller side but perfect for 2 people, with a nice balcony. Breakfast was tasty (only one option - traditional chapin breakfast - that's included in the room rate, and a few other paid for options). The team is very friendly and helpful. Wifi works usually well, although may require a bit juggling of multiple networks. 5 parking spots available. Nice pool area in the lower part of the property, although we didn't use it much (pool is not heated). ☺Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities

The hotel has a driver they use for their tuk-tuk rides so you do not have to pay an excessive amount. The drive is friendly and always made us feel safe being in a new place. We had gotten couple massages, which were relaxing and much needed after our hike. The hotel even helped us with transportation back to Guatemala City. Everyone we encountered was kind and welcoming. The staff really stood out to me. The rooms were cozy and clean. I will say that some spiders got in through the cracks, but that is to be expected due to the location. We had a fresh pitcher of water given to us each day. The food served at the hotel restaurant was good. My partner and I stayed here 4 years ago and fell in love with each other and with this magical place. Flash forward to last week. We got married here with 30 close friends and family. We can not say enough great things about the entire experience. The yurts are just glorious, with views of the volcanos and lakes from every angle. The beds are comfortable and everything is really well kept up. I need to give a detailed review of the staff because they were so extraordinary. First the main staff: Starting with Yvan, the extremely charming and attentive general manager, I knew we were in good hands from the beginning. We booked the whole place a year in advance. He was so good about communicating with us the entire time. When we finally met in person, I felt already knew him. He is a person with a heart of gold, pure love and such a capable master of ceremonies. As we got closer to the date, Andrea stepped in to manage the details involved in wedding planning. She was incredibly helpful and went way beyond duty to ensure our day was beautiful. She helped me to plan everything (decorations, seating planning, flowers, gifts, etc, all the minutiae that accompanies weddings) and kept me feeling confident that all would go well. It went well beyond my expectations! Thank you Andrea. Next is Adria. She was the one to greet us all at the gate, and I instantly felt her amazing warm aura. A tireless worker, an incredibly kind and generous spirit…I had to resist the urge to hug her all the time. She worked with Andrea to make sure all the details were attended to, and bonus: she led us all in a wonderful yoga class by the pool. If only I could start my day every day with her… Finally, there is the very talented chef Norbert. I live to eat. I love to eat. Food is my love language. I plan entire vacations around what I’m going to eat. Norbert’s food absolutely blew me away. His cooking skills, his attention to detail, letting ingredients shine, presentation—unbelievable. In addition to preparing our wedding feast, he made us tapas for the meal the night before. We had lunch there, as well as breakfasts all 4 mornings. We loved his food so much we ate our last dinner there instead of going into town. I think I can safely say we tried everything on the menu and 100% of it was delicious. Bravo, Norbert!!! And then there was the rest of the staff. Ale and Johnny tended bar for us the whole time. They were both so charming, patient, and hardworking. Our crowd was a thirsty group, and they handled everyone with grace. Norbert was assisted by some local women who truly worked their tails off for us: Lizeth Aura Danira Gaby Yolanda …..you were all so so wonderful! I have worked in restaurants and know that while the chef gets all the attention, the kitchen staff is essential. The job can not be done with out. Thank you so much. And I can not forget the cleaning/support crew: Eddy Manuel Yuli ….extra thanks to Yuli for the additional job she did with creating beautiful flower arrangements. And to the guys that carried all those chairs down and up ALL THOSE STAIRS. This place is so special. Stay here if you want to have a truly relaxing time on Lake Atitlan. The location is a little removed from the town but the friendly staff will call you a 5m tuk tuk whenever you need. They have a great happy hour around sunset time. You can also enjoy Syrian food on the menu. We went in November and the sunsets were gorgeous. The rooms are clean, spacious, come with their own balcony area, and definitely unique. Great views looking down on the lake, a fun cocktail bar and an extremely tasty and healthy dinner, in the restaurant, which has a range of dishes you won't find in most other places. (Our dinners were Mediterranean influenced). And the staff and the manager were all super-friendly. A bit if a schlep as you have to take tuk-tuks up and down the hill (to get those amazing views) but well worth it.
EXCELLENTVerified Unforgettable stay in beautiful Lake Atitlan We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jenna's for a family wedding. It is a beautiful setting, very comfortable, and has an amazing on-site restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a terrific time - both Adriana and Adrina managed transport, booked massages, offered an unforgettable yoga class and were just exemplary overall. Yvan coordinated all of the details and managed many moving parts. Johnny and Allie at the bar took great care of everyone and made terrific cocktails. Norbert continued to delight us with delicious food (best fattoush I've ever had!). We had a group of 19 show up late one evening during our stay, and the kitchen staff rose to the challenge - Johnny took care of everyone - and the women in the kitchen worked late to make sure that we were well-fed. They were back early the next morning to prepare our breakfast - thank you to Lizeth, Aura, Danira, Gaby, Yolanda and Lizeth for feeding us so well over many days! We will never forget the time we had at Jenna's - thank you to everyone who made it so special.Verified Book the Armadillo suite, you won't be disappointed! Totally worth the very brief venture outside town for the unbeatable view, you won't be disappointed! Be sure to wake up to watch the sunrise from your own private covered patio or even from your bed. I also suggest sitting out to watch the sunset over the mountains from their restaurant. During the night we were able to sit and enjoy the moon reflecting on the lake. The hotel has a wonderfully curated eclectic vibe. The complex is thoughtfully designed (but be prepared for some stairs - after all you're on the side of a mountain) and the gardens are immaculate. You feel as if your tucked amongst the forest in a private garden. The staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged our professional private transportation to and from Guatemala City and helped us arrange trusted tuk tuks into town. High speed wifi that's included enabled us to stream movies. Can't recommend the on site Syrian restaurant's tasting menu enough! Enjoy incredibly fresh and flavorful authentic Syrian food made with local ingredients for their covered restaurant patio that overlooks the lake. Get there early as they will sell out or make a reservation. We enjoyed the coffee that was available all day and the included breakfast.Verified Amazing!! Easy walking distance to Panajachel and Santa Catarina Palopo, though there are many tuk-tuks or nice locals willing to give you a ride in the back of their pickup truck if you are not up for the walk. Muchas gracias!Verified Mini Getaway Jenna's B&B was an excellent place to stay! The views here of the lake and the volcanoes were so beautiful and the place truly felt like home. Our villa was comfortable and clean. We were provided with fresh linens and fresh water daily. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL! Yvan and Andrea really helped us get our plans organized and helped us get around to the different towns, making plans for us while we were there. They are both extremely communicative and friendly and without a doubt helped to maximize our experience. I don't know what I would have done without them! Norbert, who was a member of the staff as well was the sweetest and most accommodating. He went above and beyond for us during our stay. The food at Jenna's is also a 10/10. We had breakfast and dinner there during our stay and enjoyed the well flavored, delicious meals. When I return to Lake Atitlan I will definitely be looking forward to staying here again. Now that I am back home I am missing waking up to the breathtaking views while enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee on a chilly morning.

I first have to say that everyone there is so extra accommodating and wonderful, a better staff couldn't be found anywhere. When we arrived, I realized the error in my booking. I had asked for a lower yurt not realizing that the main road was at the top. Meaning that there would be more stairs to climb to get to where we could grab a tuk tuk into town. (Be aware there are a whole lot of stairs to get everywhere) We were lucky in that It was low season and they were very kind in that they were able to change us to another room that put us closer to the main road. At the end of a long day of taking launches to other areas of the lake that location was so much better for us. Of course the view of the lake from up there was stupendous.. I had been willing to give up that view being in a lower yurt until I got there and realized thing were opposite of what I imagined. Our room was small and cozy and with a great balcony overlooking the lake...our bed was very comfy and with enough blankets to warm us thru the night..it does get chilly at night! Great shower with plenty of hot water. Housekeeping gave fresh filtered water, and clean towels every day which was a nice treat.( So many places don't change towels these days). As other people have said in their posts... I agree that the rooms (or at least the one we were in) could use more hooks to hang things and even a small table or something in the bathroom because there was no place to put anything, even the towels. For two people with toiletries it's barely enough space. The included breakfast is more than ample and always delicious with fresh made plantains, eggs, fruit, beans and home made tortillas with coffee or tea... honestly, more than I could finish... but somehow I'm managed! They also have other menu items that can be ordered with a small fee. We had dinner in their restaurant each night we stayed and loved everything we had. The kitchen staff Gabriela and Yolanda are amazing cooks and everything is made to order. After a long day visiting other places on the lake it was relaxing to come back for dinner and be overlooking the lake. We found all the meals to be tasty, satisfying but above all incredibly creative in their preparation and unique flavors, we honestly ate everything on our plates each night. We didn't have a chance to use the pool because we were out most of the day when it was warm, by the time we got back it was a bit too cool out, but I'm sure it's very refreshing on a hot day. Thank you Mari, Antonio and Rob for making our stay so memorable and great... and of course to Gabriela and Yolanda for the super delicious meals. We loved staying at Jenna's and we would stay again in a heartbeat.It's a very special place and close enough to grab a tuk tuk and be in town in minutes. **2 Things to be aware of: -----10% Is added to the food bill for tips. We were unaware of this and tipped after every meal. We didn't get paper bills after the meals so we had no idea until we settled up at the end of our stay. So by the end, adding in that 10%...we were probably tipping 25 to 30% because we loved the service and the food so much. ---My own personal pet peeve: Breakfast is served from 8 AM to 11 AM which is a great window... but for an early riser who gets up around 6 AM.. having to wait those two hours for my 1st cup of coffee was a drag. We would count down the minutes until 8am and be the first ones there! The one suggestion I would make would be programming the coffeemaker to 7 AM, even if breakfast starts later. For those of us who need that early morning coffee fix it to wake up it would be a great addition. (I met another early riser guest there who took at 6.30am tuk tuk into town just to get that 1st cup of coffee) The last day we grabbed a cold brew from town the night before and sat on the balcony in the morning with that, just waiting for 8am:-) Again.. We loved our stay at Jenna's and highly recommend it!
